The club can trace it's origins to 1904, when its bowling green was where the putting greens are now that are on the promenade opposite Albert Road. The club spent two years on the pier garden and then moved into its current premises on Elm Road. Formed by Alfred Bannister and Billy Grant it now host 3 snooker tables, a fully stocked bar and a wonderful bowling green.
